Terms & Conditions
In agreeing to attend a First Swing program I:
- Release and forever discharge First Swing from all claims that I may have or may have had arising from, or in connection with, my child and a First Swing program; and
- Indemnify, will keep indemnified and hold harmless First Swing, to the extent permitted by law in respect of any claim as a result of or in connection with a First Swing program.
I warrant that my child has not at any time suffered blackout, seizure, convulsion, fainting, dizzy spells or any other medical condition and is not presently receiving treatment for any illness, disorder or injury which would render it unsafe for my child to take part in a First Swing program. I have read and I consent for my child to participate in a First Swing program and understand the risk involved and further agree to be bound by the First Swing Code of Conduct and operating rules.
I acknowledge that First Swing uses its best endeavours to ensure that the equipment and sporting facilities used in the program are safe and fit for purpose and acknowledge that all sports are inherently dangerous. I have voluntarily read and accept the inherent associated risks. “First Swing” means all directors personally and in their capacity as a director, partners of directors, agents, and any representatives of First Swing. “First Swing Program” include all programs and activities that you or your child participate in during our courses and classes. This includes but is not limited to any organised sport, training, facilities and activities provided by First Swing.
All sessions are subject to change. While First Swing uses its best efforts to operate sessions as per published on this website, in some instances changes are required due to fluctuations in demand. No guarantee is made that sessions will run as published. Any changes required will be communicated to those affected prior to the date sessions commence.
To enable our programme to remain viable we need to have guidelines on refunds. This is because facility hire and the number of sessions we run need to be arranged for an entire term in advance. Therefore, no refunds are available.
Make-up session policy
If your child is unable to attend a session, a make-up session may be available if we have had prior warning of non-attendance. We cannot guarantee there will be availability in all sessions for a make-up session. A maximum of two (2) make-up sessions per term are available. Make-up sessions do not carry over to the next term and no credit is available for sessions missed. To book a make-up session, please call First Swing HQ on 0432 740 073.
First Swing has NO mandatory uniform policy. We do however encourage participants to wear a First Swing shirt which can be purchased from First Swing HQ.
All fees must be paid before the commencement of your first session. If fees are not paid by this time your child may not attend any class. Pro-rata rates apply to participants starting after the 1st week.
Parents and guardians are required to be present for the duration of each session. First Swing is not a registered child care provider and is not therefore licensed to care for children without parental or guardian supervision.
We encourage parental participation and do require some parental involvement at times. In many instances, sessions are more beneficial for participants, and run more smoothly with the involvement of parents or guardians.
Siblings of enrolled children are not permitted to particpate in First Swing classes. If you have siblings attending, you must ensure that they remain away from the playing group and do not interfere with any equipment being used throughout the session duration.
Photography / Video
From time to time your child may be photographed or video’d whilst undertaking a First Swing session. Such media might be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to reproduction on the First Swing social media platform. By enrolling in the First Swing program you agree to such use by First Swing. Parents are not to take videos or photographs that include other children in the class without the permission of that parent/guardian.
Food and drink
It is prohibited for food to be consumed during any First Swing session. Our sessions are structured to include a drink break and we request that all children bring a drink bottle with them to each class.
